In 2016 Citypoint was acquired as a new asset by Brookfield Properties. Along with the building & space came a pre-existing perception that the 37 level London tower was underwhelming, under-performing, outdated and no longer relevant or competitive within the market. Citypoint was in need of one hell of a makeover.
Fast forward to the start of 2017 and I found myself sitting in a new seat as the Brookfield designer, it was time to roll up my sleeves, pull out the sketching book and start working on some fresh ideas, Citypoint was on the way back.
All it took was some late nights, early mornings, a good attitude and some fresh branding to get Citypoint ready for its transformation from flat forgotten nothingness to established, professional cool and trendy. It is now a destination, a place of business, a place of leisure, a spot to meet, eat, wine and dine, a place to be happy, healthy & social. This evolution has allowed Citypoint to truly become a multi purpose space, a place that aligns visually, connects across all platforms and encourages increased ongoing interaction with a wider audience.
